I like to do a year end, yearly, “best-of” post to show off my personal favorite images from all our year’s worth of hard work. It’s a good time to just look back and reflect, to see how much has been accomplished, and how much we’ve grown as photographers and artists. It can be a really difficult task to conquer, however. I often find myself pulling out so many favorite images that it would take weeks, maybe months, to fit them all here. I mean, after all, essentially each blog post we write throughout the year features our favorite images from each shoot and wedding we’ve done. So really, if you want to see all our favorites from the year, just read our entire blog! 😉 One of my resolutions for the new year is to simplify and minimize, so I’m doing the year end best-of review a little differently this time. Instead of breaking it down into a week to two-week long series highlighting favorites from a million different categories, I’m giving you 3 posts. A Best of the Best, Favorite Wedding, and Favorite Portrait posts.
What is a “Best of the Best” post? The images I’m posting below are all the images that really speak out to me in some way, shape, or form. They are my personal favorites, images I’m personally happy to have in my portfolio even if it makes absolutely no sense to someone else why I’ve chosen them. I often find myself drawn to images that Ben doesn’t really care for. It’s amazing to me how many people I can show a set of my images to and ask for their favorites and least favorites (I’ve done this several times over the years) and how many different opinions I get towards each image. But these photos are the ones I can look in a folder of thousands and pick out instantly. Photography is a very subjective matter. Enjoy!
