I have always loved Savannah, GA with all it’s beautiful squares but don’t get to visit nearly as much as I’d like, so I was beyond thrilled when Kim told me they would be married there in Whitfield Square (or Whitefield, depending on which side of the square you’re looking at)! They were so lucky with such perfect weather… a beautiful day all the way around. This is a longer post than usual since we started photographing early in the morning and ended late in the evening:)
Perhaps not an award winning image, but I just love this shot of grandpa sticking out his tongue! Hilarious!
The Easter bunny made a surprise visit!
The couple arranged to have trolleys take everyone to the reception site. The wedding party had a trolley all for themselves so that we could cart around Savannah and take portraits in different areas like Forsyth Park. I LOVE IT when the couple schedules in plenty of time for portraits… that’s when we’re able to get some of the best portraits of the bride and groom from the whole day!
This one is probably my favorite set from the day!
The reception was held on the 5th floor of Vic’s on the River… a beautiful venue with great views of the Savannah River.
Kim’s dad didn’t like the song options he had for their first dance so he wrote his own and had their family friend put it to music. He also played during the ceremony… awesome talent!
Let the party begin!
