It seems every time I’ve seen Liz & Damon over the past year, they were heading off for a hike or a spontaneous overnight camping trip, so it’s only fitting that they chose wedding day venues that bundled up their love of the outdoors, and the beauty of our state, with yes, even a little camping! And it was all so perfect! What’s prettier than the Hood River Valley??? They started their day getting ready with friends and family at the cutest and quirkiest little cabin rental called The Panorama Lodge. From there we drove past row after row of fruit trees at various orchards (stopping for a few photos of course!) on the way to The Crag Rat Hut, where all the main wedding day festivities took place. The Crag Rat Hut has amazing views of Mt Hood and the valley, and is really just an all around great venue. Plus, they use their rental income to support their search and rescue mission. The Crag Rats are the oldest mountain search and rescue group in North America. After the wedding, everyone headed to a nearby campground and cuddled around the campfire 🙂
Watch their wedding day slideshow below for the full story of their day, complete with video footage by the awesome Robb Cummings Media (be sure to watch his site for when their wedding film is launched), and then scroll down for my favorite images from the day.
ALSO! I tried something fun and new with ALL the images I took at this wedding… so be sure to scroll to the end of the post to see!
Okay, Robb gave me this fun idea… so, I put together a timelapse of all the images I took at this wedding, good and bad, test images, overexposed, underexposed, random snapshots, all of it! It took about 24 hours to render which was crazy! But it’s sort of neat to watch. We think it gives a great quick overview of the whole feeling of the day. What do yall think? Should I start offering this as a thing??? Also, I picked the song because it’s been stuck in my head ever since I heard it play at their wedding 😉
