Gil & Heather were married at sunset on the Ashley River in Charleston SC. Because they were getting married so late in the evening and we would not have much light after the ceremony, we all agreed it would definitely be best to do a “first look” before the ceremony. So, the couple had their little intimate moment seeing each other for the first time on the wedding day in their attire, and then we had plenty of time to go ahead and get all the family portraits and bride and groom portraits taken before the ceremony even happened. It was a good thing too! After the ceremony we had less than 30 minutes left of light, and after the couple had finished greeting all their guests the light was completely gone. But no worries, the couple could relax for the rest of the evening & mingle with guests right away. Perfect! Not to mention, Heather recollects this “first look” moment as her favorite part of the whole day:)
