That’s my little brother in the boat with his new wife… they arrived to the rehearsal dinner via boat… how romantic!
Actually, I wasn’t just a guest at this wedding, I was a bridesmaid! Not only is this the first wedding I’ve attended in over 10 years in which I WASN’T the photographer, but this was my very first time ever being a bridesmaid! Lucky me, Katie picked some super cute bridesmaids dresses for us to wear
I couldn’t keep myself from snapping a few photos of the day… mostly as we spent the whole morning getting ready! I didn’t wield my camera all day though… Ben wouldn’t let me 😉
I was so excited for the reception! I just couldn’t wait to finally be able to dance the Cupid Shuffle and get a little crazy with my family!
This is Ben’s “put your camera away and enjoy yourself” look. I do enjoy myself with my camera, but it’s hard to do holding a glass of wine and dancing at the same time, so I didn’t take many more photos after this
My friend Erin O’Neil was the official photographer for the wedding day! She had Jessica Horton along as her second shooter Erin is working on the official wedding day photo preview and will be posting those pictures to her blog soon… so be sure to keep a lookout there at www.erinoneilblog.net
In the meantime she let me grab some photos of my family having fun for a personal post to share! Here’s my mom (doesn’t she look so pretty!), hanging out with the bridesmaids in the bridal suite at the Brooklyn Arts Center where the wedding and reception were both held. It’s an awesome new venue that I would absolutely LOVE to work at someday, hopefully soon! Oh, and that’s me there too
My handsome brother, and my handsome cousin…
Handsome brother, handsome father…
Me and my new sis-in-law…
Unfortunately it rained cats and dogs just before the ceremony so not only could we not take many photos of the girls outside, but the ceremony had to be moved indoors at the last minute. But, fortunately, if everything goes smoothly, Elliott should get reimbursed for the engagement ring since it rained an inch and he bought the ring from Perry’s Emporium
Even Ben got to participate as an Usher. Here he is escorting my grandma
My mom cried during the whole ceremony…
The whole gang… mostly…
After Katie & Elliott’s first dance, the wedding party had a little dance of their own… we practiced after the rehearsal dinner in the rain and pulled it off without a hitch!
You may recognize Matthew & Alexis from my blog a while back! I photographed their wedding at River Landing in Wallace and many of the groomsmen in that wedding were also groomsmen in this wedding
