Office Day, What to do on Breaks {thoughts from the intern}

Greetings, happy Friday everyone!  Seeing that everyone is certainly stuffed from another thankful Thursday, I hope you’re also thankful I am not posting about another kitchen creation.  I took off work last Tuesday and spent the day with Crystal.  We called it an “office day”, but it was really a tour du Charlotte food experience, photo packaging lesson, and Photoshop education day.  Oh yeah, and we also took a break for a little retail eye candy.

My favorite stop was Hong Kong Vintage off Central Ave.  We would have walked but the rain encouraged us to take our trust green steed, the Element.  I absolutely the love the eclectic nature of unique consignment shops such as this one.  You can’t just head to nearest mall and buy this array of colors that are aged yet bright, old yet so in, smells like grandma but hopefully will soon smell like Tide.  You won’t find racks organized by hue and size.  Every piece is unique and has been warmly broken in, many many times.  Now that I think about it…just how many times did someone adorn that classic Oakland A’s T, or sport those rugged red cowboys, or accessorize themselves with that classic broach?  On second thought, let’s not dwell on the past…it will be new to you right?!

Check them out online or better yet take a stroll on Central for yourself.
