From Chicago we made our way to Ann Arbor, where we had a fabulous couchsurfing host, Ken. Ken is from Hawaii, and did a similar road trip about 2 years ago that eventually and unpredictably landed him in Ann Arbor, a cute little place he is happy calling home for now.
The next morning, our friend Alexia, of 5Fourteen Photography, met us in Ann Arbor to serve as our tour guide for the day! We had such a small amount of time in the area, but she did a great job giving us an overview of what both places have to offer!
Here’s a very small door in Ann Arbor…
One whole street/block in Detroit is dedicated as the Heidelberg Project… http://www.heidelberg.org/ We met the guy responsible for it while he was painting a big pink polka dot, but he wasn’t in the mood for any photos of himself.
After getting the grand tour, we said goodbye to Alexia and drove north to see an old manager of mine who used to live in Charlotte. She now has her first little one, so of course we scheduled a photo session for him!
