We considered staying in Yellowstone another night, but it was so cold and rainy we decided to just head on to Bozeman. We planned to get a campground a little closer in to Bozeman, but it was so cold and wet that we kept pushing through to the city. We stopped at a rest stop looking for a hotel discount book, and there were travelers camped out all in the parking lot and in the rest stop building. The West is definitely more tolerant of travelers than the East. We didn’t stay in the rest stop, though. I really wanted a warm bed and a shower and some internet! So, we found Blue Sky Motel around 1am and they let even let us have a late check out. Sweet! The next day we spent the entire day, after walking around downtown Bozeman first of course, hanging out in the local food co-op using the internet to catch up on editing and blogging and emails. We had lunch, coffee, dinner, more coffee, and some snacks while hanging out there
I actually really liked Bozeman. I enjoyed their downtown area and loved the co-op!
Our rating of Bozeman compared to Charlotte. Charlotte being a 0, +3 being definite contender for our new city…
