So, on we went to Grand Teton National Park. Snow everywhere. Freezing weather. What is this? I packed a ton of super thin Summer clothes, expecting to be hot all Summer, and it’s only been hot a handful of days. Literally.
Oh, I forgot! Somewhere along the way (I’m sure I could figure it out if I looked at a map) we stopped at “The World’s Largest Natural Hotspring”. I think it must have been on the way to the Tetons, but I’m not sure. Anyway, we were all in pants and jackets and there were crazy people jumping in the river! On a side note… all the hot springs we’ve stopped at are quite disappointing. Apparently you can’t swim in a natural hot spring… it has to be filtered in and pumped into a swimming pool type set up. Yes, chlorine is involved. I want the real deal.
Our first stop in the park was Jenny Lake… so pretty. Unfortunately we hit Teton & Yellowstone on a really bad day. Not only was it cold, it was raining and there was thick fog covering most of the mountaintops.
The Grand Tetons are gorgeous and huge! But they are also quite intimidating… nothing like the nice comforting mountains of Boone, NC
