From San Jose we made a very very long trek South along the slow moving coastal Hwy 1. It was gorgeous, but there was nothing in the way of modern conveniences for huge stretches of time and no access to major highways for miles and miles and miles. So we realized early on that we were stuck on this road for the whole day. Needless to say we didn’t get to San Diego until around midnight and it was probably the most driving we did in one day the entire trip.
We stopped at the Elephant Seal beach for a break. These seals are too funny!
This one was mad and yelling at the other one for getting too close and disturbing his sleep.
The one on the bottom right scratched his armpit for a good 5 minutes 🙂
