50 days! That’s a lot of days to keep organized in your head all the things and places you’ve seen! The sights, days, and campgrounds are all starting to blur together.
After our night in the Wenatchee National Forest at the Silver Fox Campground, we headed north to check out the North Cascades National Park. We were a little confused the entire day’s drive through the park because we didn’t realize we were ever actually in it. There was no entrance booth or entrance fee. Apparently the entire park is all wilderness except for the state run road, Hwy 20, that runs through it. So, mostly the park is full of hiking and biking paths. We just drove and drove and drove and then when we got to the Visitor’s center on the other side we found out that we were at the exit to the park, lol! It was a really pretty drive, but maybe a little pointless to go all out of our way not to have plans for hiking. It would have been worth it to see a mountain goat, but we didn’t even see one of those.
