Next, we drove into Rhode Island just to say we did. Once we got over the state line I realized it was only 30 minutes or so to the coast, so we decided to check it out as well. The state parks were all full for Memorial Day Weekend, so we decided to just drive to the beach to check it out. Instead, once we got there, we spent quite a bit of time photographing around the huge lobster boats that were parked in the harbor.
We left Rhode Island and headed for Mansfield Center, CT, which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere 🙂 BUT, I once couchsurf hosted two English students who were visiting Charlotte for a literary conference who just happened to be students from the Mansfield area. Soooo…. for the first time ever in my own couchsurfing history, we got to surf on the couch of someone who once surfed on ours 🙂
Only one of the two girls we’d hosted was in town… thanks so much Christiana, it was great seeing you again and checking out your little town in the country!
