From Madera’s Wal-Mart parking lot, we woke and drove to Santa Cruz. I loved Santa Cruz for some reason I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it was the interesting international hot chocolate menu at Chocolat.
Maybe it was the friendly pelican.
Maybe it was the palm trees…
After Santa Cruz we headed North to Vallejo where we were being graciously hosted by some of my relatives whom I had never really met. Well, I had met one of them briefly about a year ago when he was visiting my grandma but I’d never met his wife or children. It was a fun time! 2 of their children in their 20s were staying at home for the moment and they had friends over, so it was like a little party getting to know my distant cousins 🙂 But you know what? Although we stayed with them for 3 days, I failed to take even one photo of them and once I realized this I kicked myself since I was doing such a good job taking photos of everyone we’ve stayed with along the way. Oh well, I guess we just had too much fun to remember.
