Scott & Heather were married at one of my favorite wedding venues in the Charlotte area…. Carrigan Farms Rock Quarry in Mooresville, NC! It was such a toasty day, but once we were down in the quarry, the temperature dropped considerably… still warm… but the rocks and water helped keep things bearable for a late May NC outdoor wedding 🙂
Tola & I started the day at Lake Norman where the whole crew got prepared in a really pretty lake rental house. Then we moved on to the quarry and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, there were surprise fireworks that even I had no clue were coming!
Below are a few of my favorites, but be sure to check out the slideshow above for the full story!
Scott’s mom did all the floral pieces and I must say, we were quite impressed! She doesn’t do arrangements full time, but she loves it and would love to take on a few more here and there for any couples in the Wilmington NC area. I highly recommend her, she’s very attentive to detail! Give me a shout if you’d like to be put in touch!
This next set is so cute… Heather was watching Scott out of the window before getting dressed and he had no idea. She was so happy she started tearing up…. so sweet!
This was a really sweet moment as well… they didn’t want to do an “official” first look, but they did want to have a little moment before leaving for the ceremony. Everyone was all teary eyed as they stood and held hands around a little wall separating the kitchen from the living area.
Carrigan Farms has a loooooooong walkway for which the bride makes her VERY GRAND entrance. Here’s just a small portion of what would fit in my widest angle lens.
The look on Heather’s face as she’s almost to her groom is just priceless.
Love this! Scott kicked his foot up for the kiss 🙂
These beauties are from Cupcrazed, a cupcake shop based in Fort Mill… you may have seen their big win on Food Network’s cupcake wars!
