This recipe is super easy and really tasty. I heard the idea on NPR and while I don’t see the resemblance to bacon other than the thinness, it is very delicious! You’re suppose to use shitake mushrooms, but all the Burgaw Piggly Wiggly had were portabello… maybe that has something to do with the lack of bacon flavor?
Mushrooms – sliced very thinly
Hungarian Smoked Paprika
Mix it all up and let it marinate for a bit then put it in the oven at the lowest setting until the mushrooms are crispy! Voila!
